Coach Townsend joins the TNBA Indiana Coaching staff after retiring from a 20-year professional
career serving as an Indianapolis Firefighter.
His passion focuses on the advancement of youth and their families.
He played college basketball at Kilgore Community College from 1989-1991, earning an associate degree in pre-law.
He continued his Division I college basketball playing career at Western Illinois University from 1991-1994, wherehe received a Bachelor of Science in Recreation, Park, and Tourism Administration.
He began his coaching career at his alma mater, Bishop Chatard High School.
From there he dove into coaching AAU and currently serves at the TNBA Indiana Boys AAU director.
