Current Role

De Andre’ Austin is a Lead Trainer and Coach entering his third year with TNBA East. He also serves as the Head of Middle School Basketball at Fuchs Mizrachi School in Beachwood, Ohio, where he oversees the 7th and 8th grade boys basketball programs.

Playing Career

  • High School: A graduate of University School in Hunting Valley, Ohio, where he was a 4-year varsity letter winner, team captain, and team MVP. He earned All-State, All-Conference, and All-District honors.
  • College of Wooster: Attended one of the winningest NCAA Division III basketball programs of the 2000s but did not play due to injury.
  • Bowling Green State University: Earned a roster spot through open walk-on tryouts, eventually securing a full athletic scholarship. During his final season, BGSU finished as the 2019 Mid-American Conference Tournament runner-up, received an invite to the College Basketball Invitational, and defeated #15 nationally ranked University of Buffalo. He graduated with a degree in Philosophy, Politics, Economics, and Law.
  • Professional Experience: Played and trained overseas in Valencia, Spain, and Lappeenranta, Finland.

Coaching & Training Experience

  • Worked at basketball camps for Bowling Green State University, University of Tampa, and currently with The National Basketball Academy Cleveland.
  • Experienced in training athletes at all levels—from youth players to college All-Americans, NBA G-League athletes, and overseas professionals.
